Author MIchelle Lynn - New Release!

RELEASE BLITZ & GIVEAWAY
TITLE: CHOICES
AUTHOR: MICHELLE LYNN
RELEASE DATE JANUARY 25TH

Everyone makes lots of little decisions from the moment they wake up until they sink back into sleep at night. Decisions that have no consequences or expectations. But, what about the rare choices that could change everything? How do you know what is right for you?
Happiness is something you have to choose again and again, each day.
Michaela Matthews wants that more than anything. Standing in her way is a family pushing her down a specific path and the man she loves preventing her from choosing anything different. When she moves to the city for the next step in her parent’s plan, she starts to figure out what she wants - or more importantly, what she doesn’t want. She thinks she has to leave her old life behind to discover a new one. This throws every choice she has made into question. It isn’t until tragedy strikes that she learns that sometimes there is no choice at all. Sometimes you can have it all.
Jason Marks has had the kind of life where things have seemed to just happen to him, no choice involved at all. It’s a struggle for him to keep the past at bay while he tries to move forward. He is no longer the unwanted foster kid. He is a business owner, surrounded by people that love him. But, he isn’t in love. He’s not even sure he believes in it. Not anymore. At least, not until a heartbroken girl falls apart in his arms. It’s enough to make him a believer. Make him a dreamer. Enough to force him to answer that question. Do you give all of yourself to someone who might not choose you in return?
Yes. Yes, you do.

Meet Author Stacey Rourke

Meet Stacey Rourke! She is an award winning, best-selling author, yet her quirky writing style and personality has her better known for her irrational fear of garden gnomes and her insistence that pretty shoes actually call out to her as she shops. That said, if you like books with a heap of action, a swirl of suspense, a dash of romance, and a slathering of snappy one-liners, Stacey’s books might be the right recipe for you! Without further ado, let’s explore the works of this twistedly, fun ginger!

In the literary world, Stacey is probably best known for her Legends Saga. This suspenseful literary adventure dares to ask the question; what if the best fiction had dark roots of truth? It kicks off with Crane, a modern day spin on the Legends of Sleepy Hollow. Things delve into the macabre in Raven, book 2, where the works of Edgar Allen Poe are weaved together into an intricate tapestry. The third book, Steam, combines the writings of HG Wells and Nathaniel Hawthorne into a backstory filled with witchcraft and time travel.

In between writing the Legends Saga, Stacey admits to needing a “mental health” break from the dark and maniacal.  Her pallet cleanser came in the form of the light-hearted romantic comedy, Adapted for Film. Set in Hollywood, we travel along with International Best-Selling Author, Aubrey Evans, as her blockbuster book is made into a major motion picture. But when she and the director begin butting heads over how to bring the book to life the studio takes drastic measures to save the flailing film. Will Aubrey find her happy ending in the City of Angels? Or will the credits roll on all she has worked for?

Where it all started: The Gryphon Series
Stacey entered the literary world with this YA fantasy series filled with shapeshifters, dragons, pirates, demons, and the horrifying image of grandma in a leopard print bikini! Yikes. The lives of three siblings are turned upside down when they suddenly find themselves linked to the mystical creature known as the Gryphon; oldest brother, Gabe, takes the form of a lion, the youngest of the trio, Kendall, grows the wings of an eagle, and middle child, Celeste, becomes his Conduit—the Celtic warrior fated to save us all. Together, they must battle the forces of darkness, all while getting on each other’s last nerve.

Spotlight on Author Carolyn Avis

WELCOME Carolyn Avis!

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

When I was 10 years old.

How long does it take you to write a book?

This book took me a little over a year.

What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

I write mostly in the evenings and late night.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I speak the story to myself, playing out each character.

How do your books get published?

So far I've self published, but I do not intend to do it again.,

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Life, my mind and in dreams.

When did you write your first book and how old were you?

A year ago and I am now 65 years old.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?

Read. Take pictures for story ideas, collect words, and make up titles and or story endings to later be used.

What does your family think of your writing?

Most are excited, at first they didn't think much of it. I never let what others think stop me. I went back to college at age 60 and earned a degree so what family and others think does not stop me.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

I've written several short stories and one children's book and of course this one that has been published. The most surprising things is how hard it is and how everyone wants to be in it. How much effort it takes to not talk about it to others, giving the story away or allowing people to change the flavor of your plot line. And the proofreading.

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

Two, I don't have a favorite perhaps the next one will be the favorite.

Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?

Just write, keep writing, never give up.

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

A few people have given what I guess is their take on critical reviews. Some thought I should add more action, others thought more love and romance should have been added. The overall opinion has been that my main novel is very good and that they would recommend it to a friend or buy it as a gift. One person told me it was too long.

Do you like to create books for adults?

Yes. But I started out writing children's stories I may add that to my writing list in the future as I get older.

What do you think makes a good story?

Lots of action and drama with surprise endings. Stories with plots taken from headlines or technology.

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

I wanted to be a Reading Teacher or a Secretary.
