A little about your self `ie your education, Family, life etc: I have a large family, some made up of blood, others chosen. I have an odd fascination with animals. The oceans are marvelous places. Anything about them is incredible to me. I first became interested in it at a very young age. I watched The Little Mermaid and that was it for me. From then on I was all about animals and water. As a child I would use a net to scoop the ditch in front of my family home to see all the different things it had in it. Nature has always been special to me.

Tell us your latest book news? The Broken Girl, which is book two in Lonely Girl series, was just launched. In the upcoming weeks I will be working on book three in that series and book two in my Storm Corp Series.

When and why did you begin writing? I began writing in November 2013. I sat at my computer one night after a close friend dared me to try and write my book. Five days later, The Lonely Girl was finished.

When did you consider yourself an Author? Sometimes still I find myself having to be reminded I’m an author.

What inspired you to write your first book? It was just something I had to tell, some taken from life, other pure fiction.

Do you have a specific writing style? I write first person. I also have no outline and just sit and go with it.

How did you come up with the titles? The Lonely Girl series was easy and personal to me. Other books I just come up with. Its hard to explain it.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? There is always a silver lining.

How much of the book is realistic? The Lonely Girl series is taken from some life events. Determined and Derailed. There is a scene in it I have take from the real world but isn’t that what most authors do 

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? My own life.

What books have most influenced your life most? All books really. I have favorites of course. Anything by Jamie Mcguire. Rachel Van Dyken, Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? Jae Hall and Sable Hunter

What book are you reading now? Right now I have a kindle full of books that need reading! Too many to choose from.

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest? All of them!

Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members: Jae Hall! Without her I wouldn’t be where I am 

Do you see writing as a career? Yes I believe it is.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book? Not a thing.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated? I was always reading and reading, I’d joked about doing a book and a friend gave me that push.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? Nerves, they are your ultimate challenge each time you sit down.

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work? I have too many favorites. Each person puts a piece of themselves in their work.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)? I will be traveling for signings.

Who designed the covers? Lonely Girl Series- I take all the pictures for those covers and the others are done by my publisher.

What was the hardest part of writing your books? Putting myself out there.

Did you learn anything from writing your books? Each book I write I learn new things. Going back I sometimes read my work and feel like ‘Wow, did I really write this?’ not in a bad way. Just sometimes even I surprise myself.

Do you have any advice for other writers? Don’t let the fear of others stop you from telling your story.

Do your have anything specific you would like to say to your readers? Thank you for the support and the emails. I love hearing from you.

Do your remember the first book you ever read? The Giving Tree… In my teen years Harry Potter.

Other than writing do you have any hobbies? Traveling and camping.

What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching? All the Teen shows on CW, it’s a guilty pleasure.

Favorite foods / Colors/ Music: Favorite food? I’m not picky, I love Veggie anything though. I also enjoy seafood but only wants on the approved list. That means seafood that is harvested properly.

If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done? I wanted to be a Vet.
